EPA Reconsiders Repeal of 2009 Clean Air Act Rule on Prevention of Significant Deterioration

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has decided not to revoke a 2009 rule clarifying the implementation of the Clean Air Act's New Source Review permitting program, instead retaining the interpretation and clarifying its implications for EPA-approved programs.
