BOEM Announces Intent to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Proposed 2019 Beaufort Sea Oil and Gas Lease Sale

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed 2019 Beaufort Sea Lease Sale, considering alternatives to leasing and the no-action option, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA).
