FRA Adopts New Passenger Equipment Safety Standards for High-Speed Rail

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) has finalized a rule amending passenger equipment safety standards to enable the safe implementation of high-speed rail service at speeds up to 220 mph, with a new Tier III standard allowing for interoperable service nationwide.
