NMFS Establishes 2019 Atlantic Shark Fisheries Opening Date and Quotas

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) sets the 2019 opening date for all Atlantic shark fisheries, including the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean, and establishes quotas based on 2018 harvest levels, while also setting large coastal shark retention limits for directed shark limited access permit holders.
