HUD Proposes Rule to Allow Propane Tank Siting Near HUD-Assisted Projects

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has proposed a rule to modernize an existing regulation, allowing HUD-assisted projects to be built near stationary aboveground propane storage tanks with a capacity of 250 gallons or less, if they comply with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 58, a voluntary consensus standard for public safety.
