Boeing Issues Airworthiness Directive for Certain 777-200 and -300 Series Airplanes
The Boeing Company has issued a new airworthiness directive for certain 777-200 and -300 series airplanes equipped with Rolls-Royce RB211-Trent 800 engines due to inadequate clearance between the thermal protection system insulation blankets and electronic engine control wiring, which may cause damaged wires. The directive requires repetitive inspections and corrective actions to address the unsafe condition.
