NMFS Approves Framework Adjustment 12 to Atlantic Mackerel, Squid, and Butterfish Fishery Management Plan

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has approved and implemented Framework Adjustment 12 to the Atlantic Mackerel, Squid, and Butterfish Fishery Management Plan, allowing for the possession of Atlantic mackerel after the domestic annual harvest, in order to prevent negative economic impacts on other fisheries such as Atlantic herring.
