U.S. Navy Seeks Extension of Marine Mammal Protection Act Regulations for Atlantic Fleet Training Activities

The U.S. Navy is requesting the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to extend the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) regulations for incidental take of marine mammals during its training and testing activities in the Atlantic Fleet Training and Testing Study Area from November 2018 to November 2025, instead of the original five-year period.
