US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. to deviate from the certification information of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant's (VEGP) Tier 1 design control document, allowing for changes to Units 3 and 4, and issuing license amendments to the plant's Combined Licenses.
