US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant
The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company to depart from elements of the certification information of the AP1000 design control document, allowing changes to the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4, and issuing license amendments to the Combined Licenses for the plant's construction and operation.
