US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption to Southern Nuclear for Vogtle Reactor Coolant System Flow Coastdown
The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. to deviate from the certification information of the generic design control document for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4, allowing for changes to the reactor's cooling system.
