US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. to deviate from the certification information of Tier 1 of the generic design control document (DCD) for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Units 3 and 4, allowing for changes to be made to the license amendment.
