U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company Inc. for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company Inc. to deviate from the certification information of Tier 1 of the generic design control document for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4, allowing for changes to be made to the license amendments for these units.
