U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Discontinues Rulemaking Activity for Material Control and Accounting Regulations

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has stopped a rulemaking process aimed at updating material control and accounting requirements for special nuclear material, citing a decision to discontinue the activity and remove it from the Unified Agenda of Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions.
