NRC Approves License Transfer for Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has approved the transfer of the operating license for the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station from Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. to Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC, and the ownership interests in the facility from Entergy Nuclear Generation Company to Holtec International. The NRC also approved a name change for Entergy Nuclear Generation Company to Holtec Pilgrim, LLC.
