NRC Withdraws Regulatory Guide on Independent Spent Fuel Storage

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is withdrawing Regulatory Guide 3.53, which provided guidance on the design, construction, and operation of independent spent fuel storage installations, as newer guidance has superseded the existing information.
