DoD, GSA, and NASA Propose Inflation Adjustment to Acquisition-Related Thresholds in Federal Acquisition Regulation

The Department of Defense (DoD), General Services Administration (GSA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are proposing to update the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to reflect inflation adjustments to statutory acquisition-related thresholds every five years, as mandated by law. The proposed changes will use the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers and apply to most FAR acquisition-related thresholds, except for certain statutes such as the Davis-Bacon Act and trade agreements thresholds.
