CPSC Issues Final Rule to Amend Mattress Flammability Standard
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is updating its mattress flammability standard to use a new, revised Standard Reference Material cigarette, replacing the previously unavailable SRM 1196, which was developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
