FCC Updates Intercarrier Compensation Regime to Combat Access Arbitrage

The Federal Communications Commission has shifted the financial responsibility for interstate and intrastate terminating tandem switching and transport charges to local exchange carriers, aiming to reduce access stimulation and move closer to reforming the intercarrier compensation regime.
