FDA Announces Final Guidance on Reducing HTLV-I/II Risk in Blood Transfusions

The FDA has released a final guidance document outlining recommendations for blood collection establishments to reduce the risk of transmission of Human T-Lymphotropic Virus Types I and II (HTLV-I/II) through blood and blood components, building on previous guidance and superseding previous recommendations.
