Rural Utilities Service Corrects Final Rule for SEARCH Program

The Rural Utilities Service (RUS) has corrected a final rule for the Special Evaluation Assistance for Rural Communities and Households Program (SEARCH) due to inconsistencies with the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act (CONACT). The corrected regulation aims to establish a clear definition of a rural area, as mandated by Section 306(a) of CONACT.
