FSIS Releases Updated Food Product Dating Fact Sheet

The US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has made an updated fact sheet on food product dating available, aiming to reduce food waste by encouraging manufacturers and retailers to use 'Best if Used By' date labels, which are more easily understood by consumers as an indicator of quality rather than safety.
