USDA Proposes Exemption for Tongass National Forest from Roadless Area Conservation Rule

The USDA is proposing to exempt the Tongass National Forest from the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule, which prohibits tree harvest and road construction, and invites written comments on the proposed rule and draft environmental impact statement.
