USDA Amends National Organic Regulations to Implement NOSB Recommendations

The US Department of Agriculture has finalized a rule to update the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances, adding elemental sulfur and polyoxin D zinc salt for organic crop production, and reclassifying magnesium chloride as a nonsynthetic ingredient for organic handling, in accordance with the National Organic Standards Board's (NOSB) recommendations submitted to the Secretary of Agriculture in April 2018.
