Prescription Drug and Health Care Spending

The IRS is issuing temporary regulations requiring group health plans and health insurance issuers to report prescription drug and health care spending information to the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Labor, and the Department of the Treasury. The regulations are part of a coordinated effort with the Office of Personnel Management, the Employee Benefits Security Administration, and the Office of Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight.
