Pacific Island Pelagic Fisheries; 2017 U.S. Territorial Longline Bigeye Tuna Catch Limits
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) proposes a 2017 catch limit of 2,000 metric tons of bigeye tuna for U.S. Pacific territories, allowing each territory to allocate up to 1,000 metric tons to longline fishing vessels. This plan aims to ensure the long-term sustainability of fishery resources in the region.
