General Electric Company Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Turbofan Engines

The General Electric Company is proposing a new airworthiness directive for certain turbofan engines due to an uncontained failure of a high-pressure turbine stage 2 disk. The proposed directive would require ultrasonic inspection of the affected engines to address the unsafe condition.
