Coast Guard Releases Updated Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular for Maritime Labour Convention

The U.S. Coast Guard has made available an updated version of its Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) 02-13, Change (1), which incorporates 2014 amendments to the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) related to financial liability and shipowner liability for seafarer injuries or deaths, expanding its voluntary compliance framework for international voyages.
