NMFS Fills Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Quota for Northeast Distant Gear Restricted Area

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has reached its 25-metric-ton quota for Atlantic bluefin tuna bycatch in the Northeast Distant gear restricted area, requiring vessels to use Individual Bluefin Quota (IBQ) allocation for any retained or discarded bluefin tuna.
