EPA to Prepare Programmatic Environmental Assessment for WIFIA Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Projects

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) plans to prepare a Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) to analyze the environmental impacts of providing loans or loan guarantees for water and wastewater infrastructure projects under the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) Program. The EPA will use the PEA to determine whether to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and will make the document available for public comment.
