U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Proposes Threatened Species Status for the Candy Darter
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has announced a 12-month finding on a petition to list the candy darter, a freshwater fish species from Virginia and West Virginia, as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act, and to designate critical habitat. The Service finds that listing the candy darter is warranted due to the best available scientific and commercial information.
