FMCSA Denies MBI Energy Services' ELD Exemption Application

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has denied MBI Energy Services' application for exemption from installing electronic logging devices (ELDs) in its vehicles, citing concerns that the exemption would not achieve a level of safety equivalent to the standard. The exemption was sought for vehicles with single-passenger cabs used in applications where travel is incidental to work activities and require special permits.
