NMFS Announces 12-Month Finding on Petition to List Chambered Nautilus as Threatened Under Endangered Species Act

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has completed a comprehensive review of the chambered nautilus species and proposes to list it as threatened under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) due to its high likelihood of becoming endangered in the near future, with a potential critical habitat designation pending further review.
