EPA Announces Annual Adjustment Factors for Excess Emissions Penalty under Acid Rain Program

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released the annual adjustment factors for excess emissions penalties under the Acid Rain Program, which automatically impose fines in dollars per ton of excess emissions on sources that fail to meet their annual emissions limitations, indexed to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for compliance years 2017 and 2018.
