National Pork Producers Council Requests Exemption from Electronic Logging Device Mandate for Livestock Haulers

The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) has requested an exemption from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) requirement for electronic logging devices (ELDs) for livestock haulers, citing incompatibility with the current livestock industry structure and safety concerns.
