Boeing Proposes Special Conditions for 777-8 and 777-9 Airplanes with Folding Wingtips

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed special conditions for Boeing's Model 777-8 and 777-9 airplanes, which will feature folding wingtips, a novel design that requires additional safety standards not currently covered by existing airworthiness regulations.
