Coast Guard Establishes Temporary Safety Zone on Illinois River for Construction Work

The U.S. Coast Guard has set up a temporary safety zone on the Illinois River, near Beardstown, Illinois, to protect life and property while construction of new power lines is underway, spanning from mile marker 83.0 to 87.0. Entry into the zone is restricted, except for authorized personnel.
