FMCSA Grants Exemption to Rail Delivery Services, Inc. for Driver Logbook Requirements

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has approved an exemption for Rail Delivery Services, Inc. (RDS) allowing its drivers to not complete daily logbook records of duty status (RODS) when staying within a 100-air-mile radius and taking up to 12 hours to return to their work location, provided they use an electronic logging device system to track hours-of-service data.
