Medicare Program Updates Quality Payment Program for CY 2018

The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 established the Quality Payment Program for eligible clinicians, allowing them to participate in either Advanced Alternative Payment Models or the Merit-based Incentive Payment System. The program is being updated for CY 2018, with an interim final rule addressing extreme circumstances faced by MIPS clinicians due to natural disasters in CY 2017.
