IRS Proposes New User Fees for Tax Preparers and PTIN Applicants

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has released proposed regulations that would impose new user fees on tax practitioners and individuals applying for or renewing a Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN), with the fees authorized by the Independent Offices Appropriations Act of 1952.
