Canada Files Request for Panel Review of US Softwood Lumber Duties Under NAFTA

The Government of Canada, along with several provincial governments and industry associations, has requested a panel review of a US decision to impose duties on Canadian softwood lumber, citing unfair trade practices. The request was filed with the US Section of the NAFTA Secretariat on November 14, 2017, in response to a final countervailing duty determination published on November 8, 2017.
