FAA Proposes Rule to Count Military Pilot Experience Towards Airline Pilot Requirements

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) that would allow pilots with prior military experience to count their time towards the 1,000 hours of air carrier experience required to serve as a pilot in command (PIC) in commercial airline operations, effective July 31, 2013, or later.
