EPA Grants Exemption for Bacillus subtilis Strain BU1814 in Food Commodities

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of Bacillus subtilis strain BU1814 in food commodities, following a petition from BASF Corporation under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA). This exemption eliminates the need to set a maximum permissible level for residues of the strain under FFDCA.
