U.S. Coast Guard Proposes Temporary Safety Zone for Lower Mississippi River Fireworks Display

The U.S. Coast Guard proposes to create a temporary safety zone along the Lower Mississippi River near New Orleans, LA, to ensure public safety during a fireworks display on April 21, 2018. The proposed rule would restrict access to the area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Sector New Orleans or a designated representative.
