Availability of Elizabeth River and Southern Branch Navigation Improvements Draft General Reevaluation Report/Environmental Assessment

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in collaboration with the Virginia Port Authority, has released a draft report assessing the environmental impact of proposed improvements to the Elizabeth River and Southern Branch Navigation. The report evaluates alternatives to deepen the channel and determine the most efficient option for commercial vessels using the Norfolk Harbor federal channel.
