NRC Grants Exemption for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is granting an exemption to allow a departure from the Design Certification Rule for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Units 3 and 4, specifically for a change in the thickness of a floor in the auxiliary building between certain column lines at an elevation of 153'-0". This exemption is being issued concurrently with a license amendment to allow the requested changes to Tier 1 information.
