NRC Issues Revised Guide for Risk-Informed Plant Changes

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has released Revision 3 of its Regulatory Guide 1.174, which provides updated guidance on using probabilistic risk assessment for making informed decisions on plant-specific changes to the licensing basis, incorporating new information on defense-in-depth evaluation since its 2011 revision.
