Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. Receives NRC Exemption for Vogtle Electric Generating Station Upgrades

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. to allow changes to the Vogtle Electric Generating Station's design, enabling the installation of a new safety valve to protect against low-temperature overpressure, as part of the ongoing construction and operation of Units 3 and 4.
