US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant
The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. to deviate from the certification information of the AP1000 design control document for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4, allowing for changes to be made to the plant's construction and operation.
