U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Issues Revised Guidance on Lead-Acid Storage Batteries for Nuclear Power Plants

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has released Revision 1 to its Regulatory Guide 1.158, which updates the qualification of safety-related vented lead-acid storage batteries for nuclear power plants, aligning with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standard 535-2013.
